OverviewWelcome to Quintest
We help our customers to continuously improve their product quality and to make test tasks more efficient. Our clients appreciate our commitment to quality, reliability, and adherence to schedules.
In addition to custom solutions, we have developed a range of our own products over the decades – from serial products like our stamp marking system to customizable on-demand solutions like our OBD control unit or our brake pedal test stand.

Managing ownerDaniel Tiffert
Having finished his mechatronics studies at Technische Universität Ilmenau (technical university of Ilmenau), Daniel Tiffert gained first professional experience while working for a renowned engineering firm in Munich.
After 2 years, he ventured the step towards entrepreneurship and founded his own engineering company named Ingenieurbüro Tiffert. Countless, successful projects for OEMs, tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers of the automotive industry in and around Munich were following. Due to the excellent order situation, Daniel Tiffert could soon hire first employees for test hardware design and test systems integration.
In 2023, Daniel Tiffert took over the management of Quintest Elektronik GmbH as part of a business succession and now employs 10 staff members.
HistoryOur development since 1988
1988
Business formation
Wolfgang Karl, at the time managing director at INGUN, founded the INGUN Elektronik GmbH together with 4 employees from BOSCH.
Taking over the customer support for the freely programmable PAD testing system from BOSCH, many projects using the PAD system and INGUN test adapters were successfully completed in the following years. The devices under test included heating controls, refrigerator and washing machine controllers, the first electronic vehicle engine control systems, and ABS/ESP brake systems from well-known manufacturers.
1990
First own product
Market launch of the self-developed and programmable testing system “Teck 2010”. The PC-based system was presented at the Productronica trade fair and served as a replacement for BOSCH’s discontinued PAD testing system. With this new product, a wide range of testing projects were carried out for a growing customer base.
1993
Emergence of the name Quintest
On September 20th, 1993, the company was renamed from INGUN Elektronik GmbH to Quintest Elektronik GmbH. The new name was derived from the words Quality, Industry and Testing.
At the same time, co-founder Karl Meyer took over the management of the company.
1993
Launch of the PZS automatic test marker
Presentation of the new PZS automatic test marker at the trade fairs Productronica, Motek and Testing Expo. The cost-efficient and easy-to-implement product quickly gained traction in testing departments across industries worldwide. Today, the PZS is marketed as a general stamp marking system and is increasingly used outside testing departments.
1995
Introduction OBD control unit
Launch of our control unit for the on-board diagnosis (OBD) of vehicle controls via the bus system “K-Leitung”. The first application was controlling the ABS valves during the brake filling process in the assembly line. Today, the control unit is used for various other use cases, such as operating vehicle actuators like windows, rear spoilers, ignitions, or lighting systems. It also supports modern communication protocols like CAN (FD), LIN, and UDS.
1995
Relocation
With 8 employees, Quintest required larger premises. The firm moved to Hans-Böckler-Straße 33 in Kirchheim/Teck, where it is located until today.
1996 – 2010
Inline and rotary table solutions with the “Teck 2010”
Design and construction of various inline and rotary table solutions using the “Teck 2010” testing system.
1997
Introduction of ABS brakes test software
Introduction of the first ABS brakes test software on a Siemens UPS testing system for the automotive industry. Due to the rapid raise of electronic safety systems in the automotive sector, Quintest soon became involved in implementing end-of-line test software for many car manufacturers worldwide.
2002
First air suspension filling system
Construction of the first air suspension filling system for Audi. Since then, we have supplied reliable air suspension filling systems to car manufacturers worldwide.
2007
Introduction brake pedal testing system
Development of a brake pedal testing system, which is in duty at many car manufacturing plants worldwide today and is often referred to as “Quintester”.
2010 – 2018
Adapters for engine control units (ECUs)
Design and construction of various adapters for the mass flashing of vehicle-specific software for ECUs in the automotive production
2015
Change in management
Co-founder Peter Rösler took over the management of the company.
2016
Fuel tank leak testing system
Construction of a fuel tank leak testing system for the automotive production
2021
First heating system test stands
Construction of the first system test stands for heat pumps. The control system and hydraulics were designed in close contact with the customer and in accordance with their specifications. Since then, this new business area has seen continuous growth.
2023
Business succession
In May 2023, Daniel Tiffert took over the management of Quintest Elektronik GmbH.
